It’s important that new hires have headshots that are consistent with the look and feel of existing team members’ shots. It’s often included as part of the onboarding process for many businesses.

Barry Braunstein Photography works with many Boston area businesses to make it easy for new hires to book their corporate headshot session when onboarding:

  • Clothing recommendations provided

  • The lighting/background and overall look is designed to match the existing images

  • A customized on-line calendar link is provided for them to book their session at my Wellesley studio

  • Same process/look as existing images for consistency

  • Guided selection of final images at the end of the session

  • Final images cropped and provided to both the new hire and the business, including a LinkedIn ready version.

  • Billing can be to the individual or directly to the business

New Hire Headshot Process

Each step in the corporate headshot session process designed to:

  • Provide best look, experience for your team and brand

  • Minimizes risk of headshots not meeting your needs

  • Show the best of your team for your website, marketing campaigns/materials, LinkedIn Profiles, and more

Step 1: Pre-shoot

  • Understand goals, objectives and usage for images

  • Define best look for your brand and usage

    • Lighting

    • Background

    • Clothing styles/colors

    • Expression/look/energy

  • Define crop, color/B&W/both, pose

  • Prepare participants for headshot sessions so everyone is “on the same page”

  • Provide recommendations for hair and makeup (if applicable)

Step 2: Sessions

  • Designed for both efficiency and effectiveness/results

    • NOT “turn, smile, click” next where every participant gets 1-2 minutes

  • Same process as studio sessions

    • Live view/review of images with each participant

    • Interactive expression coaching to the best look

    • Exploration of different expressions for each participant

  • We know that each participant has at least 1 image they like by the end of each session

  • No shows can come to the studio if they cannot make the on-location session

  • Optional live review of images during each session (internet connection required)

Step 3: Post Production

  • Participants choose best images with provided guidance

  • Each final image individually retouched to look authentic/natural

  • Final images provided in multiple crops, including LinkedIn ready
