As most of you know, I recently started at Cohn & Dussi, LLC last month. I appreciate that the firm values my ability to “take the ball and run with it.” I am in a unique position where I am able to meld my prior transactional and litigation experiences together in one role.

One thing the firm has is a great connection to a number of people who bolster its image. Barry is one of those people. One of the highlights from my first month was working with Barry at my headshot session. Barry had a way of making me feel comfortable about smiling in my shot, something I’ve often been self-conscious of in my life — I prefer to smirk. Although I ended up choosing another shot, what I reflect on from our session was the process Barry took to arrive at this particular shot, which was the very last one of the session. It tells a story — that you can be a competent lawyer and not sacrifice showing approachability as a human being to others.
