Another Portraits for Patriots Session
21+ years serving our country in the Air Force and now Peter is transitioning to a new chapter in his career – and his 21 years is pretty impressive: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, various positions as Team Leader and Project Manager, Chief of Cyber Strategy and Doctrine, Commander USCYBERCOM, Director of Operations, Commander, visiting Professor at MIT – and I’m just summarizing.
After meeting/working Peter, I would characterize him as having drive, energy, and focus coupled with experience and skill – as well as an appreciation/compassion for life/people. I met Peter via the Portraits for Patriots program, which is a non-profit organization who’s members are U.S. photographers providing complimentary headshots to transitioning military service members. It’s our way of giving back and saying thank you to those who have served our country. I’m grateful for the opportunity not only to help, but also for having the opportunity to meet/get to know these people whom otherwise I would not have likely met. It’s a reminder that the military, like virtually any other organization, is comprised of individuals with their own philosophies, styles, beliefs, goals/dreams. Some serve for their entire career, for others it’s an experience that’s part of their journey. And either is not only OK, but deserves our respect and appreciation.
This shot of Peter is exactly who he is and speaks volumes – you can feel his energy, drive coupled with his compassion. I’m looking forward to seeing what his next chapter is all about – whatever it is, I’m confident he’ll be successful. And thank you for your service Peter!
